Choose to live and work in the Wimmera and Grampians regions of Victoria
The Victorian government is encouraging skilled migrants to live and work in regional Victoria.

The Wimmera Grampians region stretches from Beaufort to Kaniva Edenhope and Hopetoun. It covers seven local government areas - Pyrenees, Northern Grampians, Hindmarsh, Yarriambiack, West Wimmera and the Rural Cities of Ararat and Horsham.

Ararat, Stawell and Horsham are cities within this diverse region. They are situated on the Western Highway, linking Adelaide, the capital city of South Australia and Melbourne, Victoria’s capital city. Each has all the amenities expected today.

This large geographic area has something for everyone. Leisure options abound. People interested in active pursuits can choose between the best rock climbing in the world at Mount Arapiles and the best bushwalking in Victoria in the Grampians/Gariwerd National Park. Spectator sports are catered for with the annual Stawell Gift, the world’s richest professional foot race. People interested in wine can sip on the fine wine at any number of specialist wineries throughout the region. There are endless options!

Skilled migrants are warmly welcomed as there are work opportunities throughout the region. The health, education and water industries are constantly looking for professionals while people with a trade are also keenly sought.
