Topics at the Retreat included leadership, communication and decision making.
Understanding leadership styles, individual preferences and conflict resolution
formed a large part of the weekend.
Some quotes from the workshop:
I felt I was able to express myself and /thoughts
to a group and honestly think about the way I am as a leader
The weekend was…not as scary as I had convinced myself!. Nearly everyone
else was as nervous as I was
The activities opened a lot of doors and made things clearer as to why I work
the way I do and what I need to improve on.
Very thought provoking. I need to put fears away and tackle problems…..and
stop procrastinating.
I learnt how to improve as a leader, to recognise the different behaviours
and why they occur. Also learning why I am who I am, what’s good and
bad and trying to make the necessary adjustments
Further details about the Community Leadership Year Project Topics will
be provided in the next update.
