Early childhood

Kindergarten, childcare and playgroups provide an opportunity for children to socialise before they reach school age. Four-year old kindergarten programs are available throughout the region and some locations also offer three-year old kindergarten.

The Wimmera Southern Mallee Regional Partnership Early Years Project, By Five, is now up and running and aims to streamline and coordinate services supporting young children and their families in the region. The project aims to explore and provide the very best early-years learning experience for children in a regional, rural and remote setting.

School

The Wimmera Southern Mallee offers a range of government and independent schools with sizes and styles to suit all needs and abilities. These include primary, secondary and P-12 schools with programs ranging from accelerated learning to additional or tailored support. Senior learning opportunities include VCE, VET, VCAL and School Based Apprenticeships. An extensive established bus network allows students to travel independently to school.
