Residents of the Wimmera Southern Mallee have access to quality health care services. Major towns have modern hospitals, as well as private medical practices and community health care centres. People can access specialised cancer treatment in Horsham and Stawell. There is also a growing availability of complementary therapies.

Horsham is home to the Wimmera Cancer Centre, which provides cancer treatment for the people of the Wimmera Southern Mallee. The Stawell Austin Radiation Oncology Service (SAROS) treats skin cancer and other non-cancerous skin conditions to patients living in the Grampians and surrounding regions.
The Wimmera Primary Care Partnership maintains a Mental Health Directory and a Directory of Counselling Services in the Wimmera Southern Mallee.
The Grampians Pyrenees Primary Care Partnership supports health and human service organisations in the Northern Grampians.
By Five Innovation and Equity Hub
The Wimmera Southern Mallee Regional Partnership Early Years Project, By Five, is now up and running and aims to streamline and coordinate services supporting young children and their families in the region. The project aims to explore and provide the very best early-years learning experience for children in a regional, rural and remote setting.
Women’s Health Grampians
Women’s Health Grampians (WHG) is funded by the Department of Health and Human Services to improve women’s equality, health and wellbeing. WHG works to achieve healthy public policy, improved service provision for women, and cultural change that supports gender equality. Key areas of work include violence against women and sexual and reproductive health.
Uniting provides a range of services in the Wimmera including childcare, disability services, youth and family services, social support, housing and mental health programs. Grampians Community Health
Grampians Community Health (GCH) provides co-ordinated health and community services to individuals and families within the Central Grampians and Wimmera. Services offered include aged care, mental health, housing and home support. GCH have offices in Stawell, Horsham and Ararat.
Woodbine Inc is based in Warracknabeal and provides accommodation, day services, employment programs and training to people with intellectual disabilities.
